Coaches should note several changes to this year format. Notable that their will be (2) 1st team honors awarded, one for each conference. Also, they should note that this year, coaches will NOT be required to list any comments about a player who is nominated. Coaches need only submit the players names and numbers along with the additional data as required on their nomination form. Coaches should pay careful attention to the spelling and players numbers when nominating. Also a change for this year will be that the Offensive and Defensive specialist honors has been removed and an additional Running back and Linebacker position added. Also to note is that each team has only 1 open position to add 1 additional nomination to any of the positions on either Offense or Defense.... NOT both as in the past.

All teams despite records and playoff status should plan on nominating at least 1 or 2 of their players to somewhere on one of the honors. We are requiring as in the past that each team participate at some degree in nominating a player from their team for post-season honors. Also, coaches are to note that ALL coaches are required to participate in the voting process that will take place between the 1st playoff meeting and 2nd.

Also, teams are reminded that they should only nominate players from their teams if they believe that the player is one of the top 5 or 6 at that position on their team and just because there are X amount of positions that they need to nominate a player to each. Do NOT flood the ballot with your entire team. Also note that even though you might have had no wins this season, that doesn't mean that you don't have a player to be honored as well. Nominate 1 or 2 in that case of your best players. Coaches need to keep a open mind during this process of nominating so they can honor their kids respectfully. Also note... this is NOT a TEAM award, it is an individual award period... Just because your team is undefeated or only has 1 loss doesn't mean that you should have all of your players nominated or win each and every position. That is what playoffs are for. Your team MIGHT has the best record, but that doesn't mean that other teams don't have just as good of players at a certain positions or even better.

Each conference will have a MAX of 50 players make the final Conference All-Star teams.
