2007 CFA Football League

Peewee and Pony Divisions

MVP Award

Nomination and Selection Instructions

For the 2007 year, the CFA Football League will be allowing Peewee and Pony divisions to name a League Most Valuable Player of the Year award for each of their respective divisions as well as a "Offensive Player of the Year" and a "Defensive Player of the Year". For the process, each coach my nominate (1) player from their team who they feel was the best player on their team as their MVP and up to 2 others to be nominated as Offensive or Defensive Players of the Year. In no case may any one player be nominated for more then one honor in the Peewee or Pony Divisions.

Each team, even though they might feel that their player was not necessary the best player in the league this past season, must still nominate (1) player from their team for a least one of the awards. In turn, this will be a special award for each player nominated that denotes that their coaches felt that they were the best player for this past season on their team.

Coaches may use their own criteria in selecting their nominations which may include allowing their assistant coaches to be involved in voting for their teams MVP, Offensive or Defensive player honors or may elect to have their entire team be involved in the teams selection by having the team members vote for the player to nominate. Head Coaches may use any choice of criteria to make their teams selection.
