CFA Hall of Fame Award - 2007 Inductees
The CFA Football League proudly announces
the creation of a new award, the "CFA Football League Hall of Fame". This award
will be devoted to recognizing the special efforts of Coaches, League Reps,
Commissioners, Area Officials as well as Others who have contributed extended
years of "Giving Back" to the football players and football associations which
make up the CFA. This award will be given to a very select
few each year and the final criteria for earning this award will be considered
by the CFA Board of Commissioners in the off-season.
Last Year 2006, Our first member to be inducted into the CFA Football
League "Hall of Fame", was Joe Cribari. He has been involved with
Youth Football since 1973 when he was first elected as Commissioner
of the CFA Football League. In 1973 Joe also served as Head Coach
of the St. Catherine Laboure Royals Midget Team that won the first
ever CFA Super Bowl Midget Championship with a perfect record of 9-0.
Joe has been involved in the league since its inception in 1973 and
has continued to be the face of the CFA that he has overseen for over
35 seasons.
Our inductees this year (2007) are:
Jack Mitchell.
Jack has been involved with youth football for a lifetime.
The amount of time and effort he has selflessly given are immeasurable.
It would be nearly impossible to count the children, parents, and
coaches he has influenced and monitored. To the Good Shepherd Rams,
he is simply "Mr. Rams Football". Jack has been an Assistant Commissioner of the
CFA for many years.
Rory Morrison.
Rory has served as a volunteer for the Boiling Springs
Midget Football Program for 17 years even though his own children
have not been participants for several season. He has coached for
15 of those years at every level. He has served as Director of Coaching.
Vice President and is the middle of his 7th year as President. It
seems that there isn't a day that one of us doesn't receive some type
of new knowledge from speaking to him about the sport, the organization, or the
CFA.
Robert Keith.
Bob has served the New Cumberland Football Association for 27 years of
youth football, with 223 games, 120 wins, 93 losses and 10 ties. He has
dedicated his life to helping the youth of our community, especially on the
football field. He has always found time to support the needs of children and
help them learn and grow in sports. Every player who has ever been coached by
Bob can tell a story. Perhaps it's his walk, his shorts, his decorated hat, his
whistle, or perhaps his yell.
"Who are we? Cowboys". There is always and will always be a story
to tell. This unique quality is what makes this unique man a legend.
