Jake passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011 John "Jake" J. Wilson, 81, of Lower Paxton Twp., passed away, Sunday, September 25, 2011, at his home. He was born November 8, 1929. He was the son of Hugh and Violet Wilson. He was a founding member of Holy Name of Jesus Church. "Jake" was instrumental in the creation of the Holy Name of Jesus Football program and was head coach for 40 years. He was very involved in the building of the church, rectory and school. In recognition of his contributions to the HNJ Football program he was inducted into the Capital Area Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame. He was a Scout Master of Boy Scout troop 360. Jake worked as a General Contractor for 45 years and has built many homes in the Harrisburg area. He was preceded in death by his son John H. Wilson. Surviving are his wife AnnaRose, son Richard Wilson of Grantville, the wife of John H. Wilson, Debra, Celeste Stone of Arizona, Irene Thomsen of Harrisburg, Theresa Nickle of Harrisburg, Joseph Wilson of Harrisburg, Julia Still of Dillsburg, Jane Wilson of Arizona, Robert Wilson of Harrisburg, William Wilson of Harrisburg, Earl Wilson of Matamoras, Christine Watts of Hummelstown, Edward Wilson of Harrisburg, and Lawrence Wilson of Harrisburg. He was also a grandfather of 33 grandchildren, great-grandfather of 22 and great-great grandfather of one. Also surviving are two brothers Charles and Donald and one sister Patricia and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2011 in Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 6150 Allentown Blvd, Harrisburg. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street, Harrisburg. He has touched many lives and will be missed dearly.
It is with great sadness that today, Sunday, August 14, 2011 at 4;15 p.m. Our friend, Coach and CFA 2007 Hall of Fame Inductee Robert "Bob" Keith Passed Away Bob coached for the former "Lower Allen Midget Football Association" and the "Cedar Cliff Area Midget Football Association". He was involved for three decades in coaching youth football. He dedicated his life to help the youth of his community. He always found the time to support the needs of children and helped them learn and grow in sports. his quality is what makes this unique man a "Legend". Please keep Bob's son, daughter-in-law, and his 3 grandsons in your prayers.
